Brought in as the first marketer at RiverSafe to build the strategy, structure, and systems needed to establish their digital presence and connect with their audience more intentionally.


✨ Overview

At RiverSafe, I joined as the company’s first-ever marketing hire, responsible for developing their entire marketing approach from the ground up. I created their first formal marketing plan, led a complete website overhaul, and introduced consistent digital communication strategies to support brand awareness and commercial growth.

This was a strategic and builder-style role, focused on turning vision into structure — and laying a foundation that the team could grow on for years to come.


💼 Key Contributions

Developed the Company’s First Marketing Plan
Created a full marketing strategy from scratch, tailored to RiverSafe’s cybersecurity and data analytics positioning. This included defining audiences, core messages, key channels, and priority actions.

Website Management (WordPress)
Maintained the RiverSafe website on WordPress — including uploading job postings, publishing blog content, and updating the ESG page. I ensured the brand’s colours and visual identity were consistently reflected across all updates, reinforcing a cohesive and professional digital presence.

Social Media Management
Established a consistent posting rhythm and visual tone on LinkedIn, growing the company’s presence and improving professional engagement across the board.

Internal Process Building
Introduced clear approval workflows and content creation processes to streamline collaboration between leadership, sales, and marketing. This reduced confusion and improved delivery timelines.

Creative Direction & Asset Management
Worked with external designers and content creators to build a bank of branded assets, setting standards for visual consistency across decks, downloads, and public-facing materials.

Cross-Team Support
Collaborated with leadership, sales, and technical staff to ensure marketing aligned with commercial priorities, building credibility and internal buy-in for the new function.

Building something from the ground up taught me how to think strategically, act practically, and bring marketing to life in a company that had never had it before. It was a chance to lay the foundation, and that’s something I do well.
